Safety Program. Independent third party audits of our facilities consistently
rank in the excellent category.
All areas and equipment
in our facilities are under constant review and monitoring to ensure
the highest quality and safety of our products. A comprehensive preventative
maintenance and sanitation program designed to assure the highest quality
and safety of the products we ship is strictly adhered to.
Ongoing educational
training programs are in place ensuring that employees are trained and
aware of proper and safe food handling principles as they relate to
our Good Manufacturing Programs.
Validation of the
effectiveness of our programs is confirmed by a microbiological testing
program that includes swabbing of equipment and surfaces as well as
product testing.
In addition to the
aforementioned programs, we also have comprehensive Trace / Recall,
Food Security and Crisis Management Programs and Procedures in place
to assure the highest levels of safety and security for the products
we ship. Good Agricultural Practices and Prerequisite Programs are now
being developed with our suppliers as well. Functions from pre-harvest
through post-harvest including site selection, adjacent land use, chemical
usage, water sourcing and usage, pest control, and harvesting practices
including worker hygiene, equipment and field sanitation, product transportation
and storage, are controlled, monitored and documented.
